Our Team.

Crystal Nazeer is the Executive Director and Co-Founder of Victory Gardens International, a nonprofit organization committed to community redevelopment through urban agriculture, food access, and job creation. With a deep-rooted passion for sustainability and community empowerment, Crystal leads initiatives that address food insecurity while fostering educational and economic opportunities in underserved areas.

Born in Washington, D.C., Crystal’s journey reflects a lifelong dedication to service and growth. She attended Bennett College for Women and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Belmont Abbey College. Her expertise in financial management, coupled with her commitment to community development, has been instrumental in shaping Victory Gardens International’s programs and impact.

A certified Master Gardener, Crystal brings both technical knowledge and a personal passion for cultivating growth—whether in gardens or communities. Her work at Victory Gardens includes spearheading programs in urban gardening, nutrition education, and youth workforce development, all aimed at building healthier, more resilient communities.

Beyond her professional roles, Crystal is a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who values family and faith. She enjoys gardening, exploring cultural cuisines, and creating meaningful connections between people and their environments. Her vision and leadership continue to inspire change and promote sustainable solutions for community well-being.

Crystal’s combination of expertise, leadership, and passion positions her as a driving force in the movement to transform urban agriculture into a tool for empowerment and legacy building.
